First entry 06/2002: I am the second owner of this car. The original owner purchased it new in Norway and traveled throughout Europe before exporting it to the USA. I purchased the car about one year ago and I am completing a ground-up restoration. It is a 1608 with two Weber 40IDF carbs. The motor number is 125BC000. Motor serial number is 0297519. This 1970 Fiat 124 Spider is finished in red over a black vinyl interior, and it is said to have been first sold by Borch Christensen Fiat in Norway and remained in Europe before being imported to the United States. The car was subsequently acquired by the seller in 1999 in Los Angeles, California, who had the car repainted. Power is from a 1.6-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes a replacement black soft top, a wood dash and steering wheel, an Abarth exhaust, Koni shocks, and 13″ Campagnolo wheels. This European-spec 124 Spider is offered with factory books, marque literature, service records, the removed factory steering wheel, a car cover, and a California title in the seller’s name.
